PROJECT DETAILS WRITTEN BELOW.
This work begins with the performance of unraveling twelve 1000 foot roles of non-adhesive plastic wrap, which by definition will "only stick to itself," then forcefully forming the wrap in place within an architectural space. The connection is much wider, not just for temporary bundling and securing upon itself but now for adhering to the environment through connectivity and adaptability within spatial settings making the invisible visible. The plastic wrap adheres to itself to display the white space within and around. This gives visual perspective to the capture of the negative space or space between within the architectural environment. The next steps are relocating the new object, amplifying the crackling sounds to hear its expansion as the piece begins to adapt and form to its new surroundings. This all exists through states within time while the viewer navigates the sculpture absorbing the auditory and visual performance of the piece, which is focused on the plasticity of space aiming for the viewer to better recognize their spatial relationship.
